Writing an article is indispensable. It is a part of life whether you are a student, an educator, politician or just plain citizen, we read whether we like it or not. For some people it is not a struggle to do because they love reading, but a majority are forced to read because they must. Few wanted to be a writer for the fear of their articles may go to waste, and their fear is not illogical especially if they do not know how to write a good article. But writing good articles shouldn't be that difficult especially if you are trying to convey good and informative ideas on your writing. All you have to do is to learn to write your articles in an organized and well presented manner. Of course you will not be a bestseller published writer overnight but a good practice now is surely a great way to start. So how are you going to write your articles in way that readers would decide to read it?

First of all you have to know what you are talking about. Never make a mistake of writing something you have no knowledge about. Nothing could be more irritating than reading an article that is obviously written by someone who does not have a thorough knowledge or information about the subjects. The readers could feel if the writer knows what he or she is talking about. It is not difficult at all because if you have decided to create your site, you may want to fill it with content related to your discipline, skills, interest or even hobby so it is not really difficult to talk about something you are interested in doing or know about.

Secondly, give your article a catchy title and thought provoking introduction. This will surely make those who were just browsing the internet and accidentally came across your article and not actually planning to read your article to stop and decide to read it anyway because the title or the introductions would leave them with questions or intrigued them enough to stop what they are doing and read. If you satisfy the curiosity of these readers they would frequently visit your site and they might even suggest it to their friends.

Thirdly, remember that readers are not competitors. You don't need to use complicated sentence structure or difficult vocabulary to impress them. Yes, you need to impress them with your ideas but it does not mean that you have to make it complicated, to make it sound like it was written by a genius. Make the presentation light and easy to read but make sure you are giving them something.

Fourthly, use styles of writing and tools to properly lay out your ideas. Most of the time the readers stop reading in the middle of the article because they are not guided well by the style and the monotony of the writings. As a writer you should use some techniques to make your article look shorter or easy to understand by using some shortcut methods in writing like bullets or making the paragraph itemized for easy identification in case the reader wanted to go back and check previous sentences.

The last but not the least, put importance to the content, remember you have to make their reading a pleasure while imparting useful information.
