Oh my...am I really that old?

My name is Aldrin Armstrong Wilding-West. If my first names weren’t already enough to make me unique, then marrying a Mrs Wilding made damn sure it was.

It’s probably not difficult for those of a certain age or knowledge to guess that I was born around the time of the first men setting foot on the moon, and you’d of course be right. I was born a couple of days after that day, my only wish being that I’d been born 10 years earlier, so I could have watched it on TV myself, and been part of what can only have been an absolutely electrifying atmosphere.

So, approaching 40 at a rate of knots comparable to the speed of an Apollo spacecraft, I continue my interest in all things space, but have an incredibly nagging thought growing in the back of my head, not every day, but a good deal of them .....Am I named after one incredible yet amazing hoax?

Of course I’d like think not, but with the birth of the Internet, a vehicle quick enough to deliver news to your home way, way before the government, or the government run media have had their chance to tailor that news into a format that Joe Public should be allowed to see..... I’ve been questioning what I’m named after.

Why was it necessary for anyone to make a film such as “Capricorn 1” if the possibility of a hoax that massive were that outlandish?

Of course I find myself looking at other events through history that could easily have been shaped by the powers that be, to push Joe Public in the direction they wanted Joe to go to enable them to quietly continue to line their pockets with amounts of money and power that you and I could not even dream of.

After all, Joe’s not very intelligent is he, not nowadays anyway, not since the level of learning in school has been brought down and down over the years to further bring Joe further in line, and of course Joe has been fed information in a controlled format for years through that screen in the corner of most everyone’s living room.

Great depressions, world wars, 9/11 anti-terror campaigns, fluoride in the water, a TV in every room, and broadband promised in every home. What’s next, another great depression? Oh, we’re there already, damn...too late.

Or possibly, am I just a victim of another ploy by those in charge to double bluff and confuse the hell out of me by making me unsure whether it’s true of whether the conspiracy theorists are part of their overall plan too?

Do you know what, I think they may well be in control of the absolute lot. Or, perhaps they’re not in control at all, and we’re all actually already part of “The Matrix”.

Mind boggling, don’t you agree?
