It's funny sometimes, how life can take you by surprise at anytime, anywhere. How something familiar can suddenly feel brand new. Has anyone ever come into your life unexpectedly and made you wonder why, that at that moment, they are there? It happened to me the other day, you can never really be prepared for it, I know, I wasn't. But maybe it's something that you're not supposed to be ready for. Like the promise of hope renewed. Or the joy that comes with new beginnings and second chances. It's funny sometimes, that in order to live in the present, we must let go of the past. Not completely, but just enough to move forward with the strength and the idea of taking a giant leap without knowing if someone is going to be there to catch you. What do you do when you get a chance to leap? Do you take a peak over and then take a few steps back and retreat? Never knowing what was at the bottom. Or do you run and leap without looking back? The other night, I leapt. I leapt without looking back and without looking forward. I leapt to live in the moment, in the present. I took a risk and jumped and something happened, right then and there. Something I won't forget. Something special. She caught me. |
