Football, as the name suggests is the game with one ball that primarily played by the foot of the players of two different teams as per the laid rules of the game. It is International Football Association Board (IFAB) that laid the law for the international football, which is followed by FIFA and teams all around the world. FIFA also followed the rules laid by IFAB and organizes, the FIFA World Cup, the most widely viewed sporting event and the most prestigious international football competition in the world.
Being iconic among all the games, the football is now emerged out much more than a game. It is one of the most appreciated and widely played game world over. Apart from good physical exercise, this game teaches our many good values like passion, commitment, speed that build many unmatched characteristics like leadership & team work, active - quick reflexes, prompt decisions, and rapid conversion of the opportunities into score that govern with strong desire to win over. This power game has power to build the nation. Any encouragement to play this game is actually contributed by rising participation from the kids and youth. This way the game not only encourages young people to be active having better physical health but also build strong mental and psychological abilities and building nation’s spirit at large, which is young and sportive at heart. This game has ability to keep the nation united. A national team that has players from the different parts of the country played at the ground, that time it is actually the pulses of millions of fans across the nation connected together, throb emotionally synchronized with every move made at ground. Being one of the most acclaimed sports word over, we can harness the football’s potential for dealing with the economic crisis too. The international football community has grown up steadily. When FIFA was founded May 1904 in Paris it had 7 founder members: France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain (as the Madrid FC), Sweden and Switzerland. In 1912, its number grew up to 21 national affiliated to FIFA. At present, FIFA has 204 members from world over. Any tournaments that of world repute, will have the world wide participation, which can create extra prospects for reviving sports business by promoting increased public expenditures, creating extra jobs for the development of the venues, stadiums necessary infrastructure for sports event can help in reviving real estate industry , necessary commercials – ad industry, event broadcasting rights – Media, bringing in / movement of sports tourists inter- and intra-nation and so the activation of associated tourism industry along with the sports, fast-food, beverage, packaging, aviation industries. This can trigger the upward spiral in the nation economy. Football, being leader in sports is, by and large, standing up to economic crisis better and can utilize for the economic revival as among many alternatives being tried. It has few advantages, able to catch broadcasters and sponsors, crave in a world of numerous channels: huge dedicated viewers. This advantage may even rise in present economic downturn. As recession gripping, season tickets may be a too great a luxury for some of the fans, but they will cling on to their television subscriptions and those who prefer to watch live they will move to the event venue. Apart from being game or building nation’s people, this sport has potential ability to rise above today's economic troubles. Away from the top table of sport, times may look harder, but if executed step by step with careful planning and diligent execution, this sport have ability to be proved larger than game in the present crisis time. |
