That's right.  Finally someone standing up and telling the Fed's to "stick it" during his on-air-rant.  Obama and his administration are so busy making history by pushing through legislation that will forever cripple the citizens of the US and Santelli hit his breaking point.

While on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Santelli in an excited voice fumed, "We're thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July.  All you capitalists that wanna show up to Lake Michigan, I'm organizing!  We're gonna be dumping in some derivative securities, what do you think about that?"

Wow - can he really pull this off?  After his rant it seems that the American Free Market Fund started a petition urging people to sign up to the party on July 3, 2009 on Lake Michigan in Chicago, Ill.  So far they have over 3,000 people signed up and it's only just a few days old.

Another site with a catchy name - the Re-Tea Party has also taken on Rick's Chicago Tea Party -

"The Chicago Tea Party of 2009 will reinvigorate that American and Patriotic spirit; one that demands respect for individual rights and property. As the bailouts spiral out of control, we are forced to fund failed banks. With foreclosures on the rise, we are made the collateral of reckless spending. And, when the bills come due, the IRS knocks on the door of self-responsibility."

Wow, what a concept, self-responsibility.  This time I guess we have to define the word "self".  Michelle Malkin, an articulate conservative has been vigorously blogging the concerns that many on her side share.  She's been following the many "porkulus protestors" as they appear wherever Obama goes to talk about his spending plan.

Only 3 Republicans voted for the spending bill - Sen. Arlen Specter was one and he was heckled by protesters at a conference in his home state.  According to Rasmussen 61% of the Republicans were opposed to the $75billion mortgage plan and 28% supported Obama's spending plan.

In the days ahead I'm sure we'll be seeing more of Santelli and his ilk becoming more and more vocal.  Come July 3, 2009 we'll see if all this steam comes to a head or if it dissipates like steam usually does......
