Researchers, after spending millions of dollars, have discovered that laughter is good for us. It reduces our level of stress hormones like cortisol, epinephrine, adrenaline, and dopamine. Laughter will raise the levels of endorphins, neurotransmitters, and antibody-producing cells.

How about this as a workout, scientists are saying that a good belly laugh provides exercise for the diaphragm, abs, shoulders, and heart. At the completion of this exercise it leaves the muscles more relaxed then before.

A daily supply of laughter reduces stress, it helps lose weight, strengthens the body defenses against all diseases, and it helps the body heal from wounds and illnesses. It is amazing to see all the "new" discoveries of the benefits of laughter - or are these discoveries really new?

Almost 3,000 years ago King Solomon said, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones" (Proverbs 17:22). So how new is this finding? Well King Solomon also said, "...there is no new thing under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

New or old what does it matter just get out there and laugh it up. It is good for you.
