My husband has shown a tremendous improvement in his health, and physical well being after he started regulating his diet from January 2008. It was his own initiative. He was close to 90 kgs, almost 200 lbs, in 2007. He never exercised, felt lazy to get up from the couch for even a drink of water. From 2008, he decided to regulate his diet, and lose weight. The changes he made were: Instead of a very heavy breakfast in the morning, he switched to high fibre supplements, and drank just one glass of hot chocolate. For lunch, I started reducing his portion size, and incorporated a fruit a day. ex: apples, green grapes, etc. He also reduced eating out a lot,and relied on packed lunches from home. We reduced the amount of oil we used. That proved to be a good thing, because our doctor told us, that any oil, has 38gms of fat in a single tablespoon. For dinner, instead of eating at 9:00 p.m., we started eating by 6:30- 7:00 p.m. That gave the food enough time to digest, and we caught up on our favorite TV shows. By the time the clock chimed 10:00, we had finished our post dinner stroll, washed the dirty dishes, digested our food, and were ready for bed. Our sleep patterns also improved dramatically. We began to have longer, more restful, sleep at nights. When morning dawned, we were both rejuvenated, and ready to take on the new day. Due to this regimen, my husband dropped 15kgs, approx, 30 lbs, in 10 months time.He came down to 75 kgs. He has maintained it since then between 72-75 kgs. If there is anyone reading this, who does not have the luxury of exercising on a daily basis, or whose job demands long stressful hours, this might work for you.
