For some time before that Bigbucks coffee bar took over the world, coffee milkshakes have been in fashion. And you can make them in your own home, saving money and time, or enjoying the product even when there’s no Bigbucks café near you. Just follow my easy recipe, which I’ve used personally to enjoy the real frozen latte taste.

Ingredients:

1 cup (any regular mug is equal to one cup) brewed coffee

1/2 cup milk

5 or more scoops ice cream (Preferably coffee or vanilla.)

Optional:

A couple scoops of differently flavored ice creams

Your own flavorings or spices

Whipped cream

Equipment:

Blender, large cup, some means of brewing coffee

The recipe:

I find it fast and easy to put the sugar in with the grounds. You don’t even need sugar but if the coffee lacks quality, the drink probably will too.

The temperature of the brew doesn’t matter.

You need not add cream to your coffee even if you like it that way.

All you have to do when the joe’s ready, is first scoop the ice cream into the blender jug, then add the milk.

Add the joe and any secret flavorings, give it a whirl on a low speed- this isn’t your average blending- hold down the lid! until it assumes your desired thickness (I suggest a few seconds on a low speed for thick frappe) and there you have it: homemade frozen Al Paccino, I mean cappuccino drink.

*-Yields what I’d call a personal serving of Keviccino.

The commercial cappuccino frap, which I won’t mention , doesn’t taste as good, and costs a lot more.
