Surely you have seen the ads on TV. Small stickers that go on the ear piece of your cell phone that protect you from the EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) which surrounds your cell phone during operation.

There are two questions that need to be answered. The first question, is the EMF associated with cell phones dangerous? And the second question, are these little devices effective in protecting the user from the EMF?

There has been no credible study that link cell phone EMF with any human illnesses. Some tests have shown that some users have had higher incidents of cancer while other similar tests have shown users of cell phones have a lower incident of cancer then non users. The power level of handheld cell phones is well below a watt while people have been using handheld radios for years running as much as 5 watts with no discernible increase in their cancer rate. So while the first question can not be absolutely and positively answered the evidence would point to the understanding that cell phone EMF does not present a health risk.

Now the second question can be answered very conclusively. The so called protection device which is stuck on the cell phone ear piece does not alter the amount of EMF to which the user is being subjected.

When radio technicians test a piece of radio equipment that has to be in a noise free, that is to say EMF free, environment they use a thing called a screen room. A screen room is a small room with a work bench. The room is completely covered with two layers screen wire made from copper wire separated by about three and a half inches. The room is framed in by copper clad 2X4s. Every bit of the room is surrounded by the shield. They are soldered together so there are no gaps. The only door is made so it will completely seal when closed so as not be a breach in the screening. This room is grounded at several points with copper rods run 20 feet or more into the ground. Even with all that strong EMF signals can and does penetrate into the room.

So if it takes all that to stop the EMF and even then some gets through how in the world do these people think some stupid little button or device can protect you from EMF? It can't. It won't. They are pure 100 percent scam. The only thing those little devices do is lightens your bank account while they make the sellers richer.
