Have you ever wondered what it might be like to work at home? But you ask what job could I have sitting at home on my laptop? A Freelance job! Freelancers have every benefit in the job industry. It is a growing wave of the future and no other job holder is happier than the one who holds a job from their sofa.

1. Be Motivated to do Your Work - Nobody really wants to do work or else it wouldn’t be called work. But the truth of the matter is that freelance workers can end up being far more motivated than any cubicle-dwelling employee. A freelancer’s work is often done quickly and efficiently. In freelance work, quality and quantity are well rewarded, and it pays when you produce both. This is the motivation that freelancers keep so close at hand.

2. Great Work Relationship - Having a more personal one-on-one relationship can be a nice way to stay connected where as in an office your attention and that of your superior is splayed over a whole crew of workers. A close relation with your boss may also bring more jobs in the future and keep you in mind for upcoming (possibly higher paying) jobs.

3. Bring in the Big Bucks - Not only do freelancers have the potential to make more money with the work they do, but the expenses usually lost in buying suits, briefcases, and gas will now be put into your pocket. Freelance work is also done at the price you decide on. But the foremost source of good pay is putting in time, and no one has more time than a freelancer.

4. Make Your Own Schedule - Time is not kept when you do freelance work. There are no punch cards or clock-in computers. The work of a freelance is done when and where you choose to do it. Ultimately, this leaves you more time for a personal life. But freelancers not only have the luxury to work when they want, but also where they want.

5. Work Where You Want - The ability to send and receive from a handheld device or laptop has become more evident than ever. Freelancers utilize this wireless access to the extreme. Whether at home, a Starbucks downtown, the airport, or a café in France, they can complete and submit work from anywhere on the globe leaving the offices and cubicles to those less fortunate souls.

6. No Office Worries - A freelancer, as you can tell, is their own business. The stresses of everyday office work are gone. One does not have to worry about layoffs, performance reviews, ethical conflicts, taking off work for your kid’s soccer games, or bankruptcy.

7. Healthier, Low-Stress Lifestyle - Freelancers are low-stress people, and in the end, a lack of stress helps lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle. Before, you had to get up at 5 a.m. just to go running before work, but freelancers have the day to themselves. They eat healthier because they aren’t limited to ham sandwich or vending machine lunches. You might not get workers compensation for falling off the couch, but you won’t need it!

8. More Comfortable Work Place(s) - It is simply inevitable that you trust your home and family more than you trust an office and its employees. The risk of office or warehouse hazards is no longer a problem. No cramped cubicles, community staplers, or public restrooms. Working conditions are bound to be far better at home than they are in any other workplace. At long last, the job with open flexibility has come knocking on your door.

9. Flexibility - Freelance workers have the opportunity to make or break any job according to their schedule. As mentioned, time is on your side and flexibility is as loose as you make it. You don’t have to worry about losing your job in a move and paid vacations are always an option. No need to call in sick, take your time and work when you’re well. This is what makes freelancers such happy, successful people.

10. Keep Your Life Fun - Some perks like wearing your pajamas to work aren’t necessarily going to change your life, but they are fun things that will bring a smile to your face. How many people can say they have a job that actually makes them smile? A freelancer can. Now, go buy yourself an iPhone, and when you tell people you’re a freelancer, shout it like you’re a medieval knight; it’s more interesting.
