After you gain the experience needed one of the most important things that is 100% required is MONEY. Money rules the world and if you don't have enough money it doesn't matter how experienced you are or how great your ideas might be. Remember this money is your best friends and if you have a lot of it your ready to go. Let's face it you need money for down payment on your property, insurance, employees, taxes... You can never just hope or assume that the money you accumulate when you start your business will be enough. There is always a chance you will fail and you want to make sure that if you do fail you can get out clean without massive debt.

After you've solved the money and experience issue lets say you got your business on the road. There are hundreds of businesses properly in your area and maybe even 50 of them are similar to your own. 90% of businesses fail within the first year of opening, so you have to say to yourself what makes me different from the rest of them? What makes people want to come to my business instead of going to a cheap store like Wal-Mart? Quality is important make sure if you're a small business emerging be sure that your products are in tip top shape. Marketing is beneficial as well go out and post sign in local schools, colleges plus tell your employees to be more active in getting your business name noticed. One of the best ways is to be involved in your community be sure that people know that you care about them. Connect to your customer's weather it is a 1 minute talk about politics, football, something that makes you an average Joe to them. Try to resemble a Barber shops or a local bar were people can just escape reality and enjoy their ten twenty minutes that they have in your business. Let your business be like a drug a drug that people can go to when they don't want to be judge or bothered by the realities of their lives.

Once you have people in your business tender to their every needs. Always make sure you go above and beyond your capability. Be sure that your customers feel that they are important in your business. You could do this by even performing a simple task like bringing the merchandise to your customer personally so they don't have to go themselves. Make life easier for your customers listen to their needs don't try to sell them anything they don't want. Even go as far as giving them other businesses names with better prices then yourself. Now you might wonder why would you ever want to send a customer away? It's simple to gain there trust if people trust you they will come back.

These are just some of the basic principles you should raise and challenge your business to become. Know that anything is possible imagine above and beyond your opponents. Everyday think to yourself would I really want to shop in this place myself. Become more than a business owner or partner become the customer.
