Ok, I have read the e-mails, seen the posts, and got the message. Between you guys (1337, Biz, JS, and the others) and my staff I have been asked and begged to let everyone get involved. I paste this in from an email from Biz "It's not that you can't do it, it's that no matter how good you may think you are (and I admit your one of the best) 300 people working together will be stronger no matter what. Take the strongest man in the world and give him a sword. Put him up against 300 kindergardners and no matter what, he is no match. Now mind you m8, we aren't children, so how much more help can we be for you? Give your army their swords and their marching orders man." Ok, so no matter what, you are all correct. I have seen great creativity and intellegence in everyone's writings and it is nothing more than prideful arrogance and bragging rights that have kept me here and not spending time with my new baby girl. That being said, I repent with this writing. I invite everyone to give their own comments and ideas at the end, but I am asking for all 300 of us to make this site what it can be. You are all writing faster than I can market and that will make everyone suffer in the long run. So, here are the swords, the shields, and the armor for us to make this site so much greater than one person can do. It's time to put SIA on the first page above any ebay listing, wiki entry, and every portal website cluttering up the web. This will get us more writers, more sponsors, and more visitors than even I thought possible. 1. We need backlinks Backlinks are links to your website from other websites. This is easily the most important thing we need from everyone. You can help by putting links to Say It Aloud on your blogs, facebook, myspace, and wordpress postings. Clicking the ten links we have in the upper left of the SIA website will build links, increase our rankings, and get advertisers and sponsors stumbling over themselves to snag every available space on the Say It Aloud website. By pasting any of these links into your blog or html editor we can create thousands of backlinks that will get Google and the other search engines to say "These guys are important" and put us on the first page of everything related to the articles and poems you have placed in the categories. http://www.sayitaloud.com 2. Invite everyone you know. You will now see when you log in a new option in the red bookmark that allows you to invite friends and family to the Say It Aloud community. If everyone just invited 10 people and those 10 invited 5 and those five invited three who in turn brought in 1 person, a single wave would bring in well over 100,000 people in our site in a very short amount of time. True, some of us will have more, and some of us will have less, but 100,000 people on our site would be the push we need to have more advertisers and sponsors than articles and we would quickly have to raise prices on new advertisers just to keep the backlog from getting so great. These two suggestions alone will bring advertisers, writers, sponsors, and more people who will want to hire our writers to make content for them as well. Remember that you are all grandfathered in at 50% and so if we raise prices, you will all reap the benefits of this bit of work I am asking of you. Alone, I may be effective, but together, we are unstoppable. We don't whisper, WE SAYITALOUD. |
