"If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is." That adage has been around for many years and it is just as true to day as it ever was. When you see "make millions working just 2 hours a day" it sounds too good to be true because it is. That is not to say that people don't make millions with these programs it is just that those few who do spend a lot more then 2 hours a day doing it. Even at that it takes a certain mentality and personality to make any money with most of these programs.
The most common program designed to make people rich are known as Multi Level Marketing abbreviated MLM. The objective of MLM is to sign up people and train them to sell the product or services and the company will pay a commission to the person who signed up the one making the sale.
The MLM concept is not evil in and of itself. In fact MLM's have some very positive aspects. They allow people to start a business without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. Recruiters are paid for finding and training others how to do the business. Many times their products are of much higher quality then can be purchased on the open market.
The biggest negative I see with them is, because of the way MLM's started and evolved, they almost require you to lie to make a go of it. If you are not an effective liar and you do not have a personality that attacks others because of your charisma my suggestion is just pass by the MLM programs.
MLM's can be just as dangerous as gambling. Once people have invested some money they feel they have to at least earn that back then they can quit. The problem is most people do not earn the money back and thus keep investing more and more.
Then there is the "using other people's money" to make money concept that is commonly suggested by MLM people. This requires the use credit cards to get a business going. WARNING! That is not other people's money; it is your money which is not in your hand yet. When making a purchase with a credit card you have to take the money out of your pocket and pay it back with more for the privilege of using it before you have it. These marketers will explain how most people who are rich did not do it with their money but with other people's money. That is almost true but those people did not use the high interest loans of credit cards. The money they used usually came from investors. These investors knew if the product or service failed they lost the money they invested. That is using other people's money.
The word "free" is said to be the most powerful word in advertising. "Free" usually is just the cheese on the trap. If they say it is free but you pay the shipping and handling calculate the cost. It is surprising what some people claim shipping costs to be.
By far the majority of people who try to start a MLM business will lose money doing it. If one out of one hundred of those that join any MLM business make any profit then that company would have an extremely high rate of success. These facts might be well to consider before investing time and money in a MLM business.
