In the early1900's barn painting was a common thing in rural areas around America. You would see the old advertisements of mail pouch chewing tobacco everywhere you looked and then as the age of electronics took hold it kind of died a slow death. Barn painting advertising has yet again become popular and has made its return to the marketplace. In today's unstable economy advertisers are looking for more ways to sell their product and find it a great technique for offline marketing. Once again, what is old has become new. Barn painting is definitely carving out a unique niche and getting peoples attention. Advertisers find themselves making a return trip to the old standby but this time with new logos and up to date products selling anything from phone services to banking needs. This is also a great time for the common painter to get on board and sell his painting services to businesses that are looking for this type of marketing technique. A good way to go about this is to place an ad in your local paper, marketing magazine, telephone book or yes even the Internet. Craigslist offers a great way to advertise and gets your name out there for your unique painting services to marketers. Typically the owner of the barn will get a set amount or monthly fee from the advertiser for allowing them to have their advertisement painted and displayed on the side of their barn. This could present advantages for both parties as a lot of barns are just sitting there being leased for storage purposes or needing to have some upkeep. Breathing new life into offline marketing campaigns is just what businesses are looking for these days as their online efforts may have gone unnoticed as of late. Online marketing has become so flooded and inundated with the competition and having new ways to advertise your product is just the ticket! It's not just the advertisers who are utilizing the barn painting but even rural farmers who want to show their support for a local business owners or Barack Obama during the presidential campaign as a tribute or way to show their enthusiasm for a campaign of change. Rural America is jumping on the "barn wagon" these days and either way you got to hand it to them, maybe the old timers did know a thing or two about network marketing. Making your old barn look better by painting an advertisement across it isn't such a bad thing and can help you preserve its history by making the old look new again. |
