I believe that secondary school students should go on dates now days. There are several reasons to support my point of view. First, I think that students going on dates would be able to know more about how to communicate with other people especially with the opposite sex. In society nowadays, communication skills are very important that it is even as important as qualifications. In the office, people need to communicate with each other to work. This kind of communication skill should be trained in school. However, in secondary school, students usually go in groups with the same sex and there would be lack of communication with the opposite sex. Therefore, students going on dates can communicate with the opposite sex well and it would help them work better in society in future. For instance, my brother Peter worked very hard in secondary school and he had a good qualification. However, he is just like a "bookworm" and he did not have many friends. He did not know much about how to communicate with others so he always performs badly in the office. This shows that in secondary school, training on communication skills is also important and going on dates can help students a lot. Secondly, I think students should go on dates because lovers will give support to each other. As students go on dates, they would try to care about and look after their lovers more than a friend would do. As a result, lovers can easily notice the needs of each other and could help and support each other more than a friend would do. For example, my friends Tim and Norma are lovers. Tim is a clever student so he always helps Norma in her homework. Then, in the latest exam, both of them got good results. It proves that going on dates would not affect student's academic results but they would try to work hard for each other. Thirdly, I think secondary school students should go on dates because this can help them become more mature. Many people think that students who go on dates would waste a lot of time and money and then these would affect their study and relationship with their family, etc. However, I do think that dating can help students cultivate a better financial and time management. Students do not have a job and they would probably live on pocket money. As a result, they would try to reduce the unnecessary expenditures in their daily life as well as during dating. Dating does not mean that they would need to spend a lot of money. Also, they would try to work hard to achieve high qualification for their future. Therefore, they would try to learn about how to manage their life. Good time and financial managements are essential for their future work. Therefore, students going on dates can become more mature and learn the things that are needed in society earlier. To sum up, I think that students should go on dates because they can learn more about how to communicate with others, and could learn to become more mature, which are essential when they grow up. |
