Douglas M. Stich was born in Sacramento, California on April 8, 1980. Perceiving life as a journey, he has ventured down many roads and found all to be enlightening, heartbreaking, exhilarating, frustrating, romantic, violent and uniquely authentic. He has lived in various locations of California including Citrus Heights, Rocklin, Santa Barbara, Canoga Park and North Hollywood. Doug currently resides in Visalia, CA located in Tulare County in an area known as the central valley. Throughout this young writer’s life, he has been employed as a lifeguard, restaurant busboy, video store clerk, book store clerk, phlebotomist/laboratory assistant, health insurance agent, literary agency intern, film and television production assistant and music supervisor. In 2003, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema & Television Arts with emphasis in Screenwriting. He is currently working on a variety of projects including screenplays for both short as well as feature length films. Doug has also begun writing an autobiographical collection of personal essays intended for release as a book entitled “No Stars in the L.A. Night Sky.” Mr. Stich is also diligently working as a freelance writer hoping to save enough money to launch his next endeavor. His future plan is to earn enough to finance his way through the graduate program for screenwriting at the Tisch School of Dramatic Writing at NYU. |
