Was a Banyan tree immense in its size
From the center of a field high it did rise
No plants were near as he caused them fright
But one day he caught a different sight.

The tree saw a Daffodil growing beside him
The angered Banyan said in voice extreme
“You tender plant, in my ground you grow!
I won this land, how come you don’t know?”

In the gentle wind, Daffodil swayed its head
In her sweet voice to the Banyan she said
“The Earth is our mother, we sow in her land
We are brother and sister, don’t you understand?”

The Banyan laughed hard and said to her
"I am so strong and such a loser your are
I build armor while fragile flowers you bloom
When the storm will come you will meet your doom."

"My roots go deep into the earth’s core
Clutching the hell my strength I store
My fruits are small, flowers I don’t yield
Like a monolith I stand, sole king of the field."

The Daffodil was quiet not a word she said
In the atmosphere her fragrance she spread
Her flowers were vibrant just like her life
For distant storm she did not strife.

Then one day a vicious storm went through
Everything in its path with ease it flew
The storm’s rage pulled Banyan’s each string
The gallant tree was now a fallen king.

The brutal storm tore the Daffodil too
Its stem was broken as the strong wind blew
She lied down beside the Banyan tree
To the defeated king few last words said she.

“You had a long life but you did not live
Building your defense whole life you did give
But In my short life I have lived happily
Here’s the loser is you Banyan, the winner is me
