I was lost didn't know where the next step in my journey was Then, I saw two guys under a tree Drinking budlight looking buzzed I approached them seemed friendly Asked them to do a favor for me they said cool I needed to know where was 67th avenue he got on his cell phone looked at a map then said crap buddy, it's 18 miles I said damn! I'll chill here for a bit and was met with smiles They offered me alcohol I politely declined I don't drink at all They were honest with me A drunk man never lies Then, they told me they had all these military ties 3 years duty in Iraq They say Bagdad's violent and whack They both had DUI's Which I guess was wierd for military guys We talked exchanged numbers then again I walked continued on my journey 18 miles But not before I thanked the men for their service their obstacles and insightful life stories and trials.
