First of all, we want to thank everyone for signing up and are very excited that the site has been taking off the way it has. Our marketing department was taken aback, to say the least, by the sheer number of articles and was expecting to be able to take their time bringing on sponsors. Instead the pressure got to at least three of our staff and Joseph Zeleny has been working every day from 6:30am to 10:30pm just to stay behind. Right now the SIA team is interviewing more people to increase our sales and marketing staff to at least 20 people. Unfortunately Joey is doing the interviews himself while Matt, Micah, and Dawn keep working on gaining more sponsors. So we appreciate everyone's patience while we strive to push forward.

NEW SITE UPDATE
We are working on a new site design and so what you are seeing when you come in will change. The main difference will be the home page which will clearly have simple navigation between the Articles, Writer's Café, Advertisers, and RSS Feed section. We are working our best to get this done in time for launch but all believe that the features we need on the site to make it effective are impossible with the present layout without cluttering up the site even more. We are also testing out some of the features we are planning to get for everyone to make the site even better. Side effects so far have been pages breaking, some articles not making it to the till, and at least on one occasion, the site itself trying to run away to digital la la land. Sorry when these things have happened, but we hope everyone understands that it is just a part of the growing pains.

GET YOUR ARTICLES IN
If you have already submitted articles you can ignore this section. If you have not, please understand that being grandfathered in at the 50% mark requires that you have an article submitted before the March 1 cutoff date. After March 1 we are going to be reducing the percentage by at least half for anyone who has not submitted an article and new writers as well, so don't miss out on getting the maximum payout for the life of SIA.

WE'RE GOING VIDEO
Finally, at least for now, we want to announce that we are getting a YouTube channel together at http://www.youtube.com/user/SayItAloudcom and already have several videos. The videos will cover everything from meeting the SIA staff to answering many questions that you all have asked and even looking to do some entertaining. Aside from answering questions you have asked, we will also be answering questions sponsors and potential sponsors have been asking. So we hope that it will help everyone have a better experience on SIA altogether as well as help you get ideas on what sponsors are looking for in the articles they advertise on.
